God is Good…all the time!
You know the phrase. This month I bet I said it a 100 times during the girls Chrysalis to get the attention of everyone. And I could have said it many more times just to spread the news…but God IS good!
The summer is almost officially over and it has been a busy one. In the Concho Country Community we have had 2 walks and 3 flights over the span of about 10 weeks. Over those 10 weeks we have brought close to 150 people a little bit closer to God. Whether they were 15 or 80 years old they have come to know the face of God just a little bit better. What is more awesome than that?
As the summer winds down, we start settling back down in to a routine…getting back from vacations, adjusting to a new school year, a change in sporting events for the fall, and hopefully getting in to some cooler weather. The one thing that we tend to neglect during these summer months is worshiping our Lord and Savior. We tend to slack off a little bit during the summer months by not attending regular worship service in our churches and/or picking up the word of God and studying it. So as we settle into those routines again, let us get back to the basics. What could be better for the soul than getting back to loving and worshiping God? So, start now. Get back to your church and start sharing the word of God again with all whom you are around. God really is good!
For the September gathering, Chrysalis will be leading the service. They are going to let you know how the summer went and how awesome God really is. Come and join us on September 1st at 6:30 pm at Sierra Vista UMC. Bring an Emmaus or Chrysalis buddy and we will all worship and have fellowship together. We will welcome our newest butterflies and pilgrims into the community. Please be in prayer for the speakers as they prepare their talks. Come and hear how these youth are fired up for the Lord. GOD IS GOOD…ALL THE TIME and ALL THE TIME…GOD IS GOOD.
